Welcome!

Welcome! Crave the WORD is a place for those who are not satisfied with the stale bread that is being handed out from many teachers andĀ local churches. We don’t want a regurgitated message, but something that is fresh from the mouth of God. We want to know what God is saying today, and what He has spoken about these times. This is not the place for the message of light and fluffy “christianity,” neither is it doom and gloom. All we want to know is the Truth; nothing added and nothing left out.

The Word is alive and active; it satisfies those who hunger and thirst after the righteousness of God; it gives purpose and meaning to our lives; it is the bread of Life that we crave; it is the seed that the Sower sowed into the ground that is the only thing that will produce a harvest of good fruit.

Through intense study of the Word, I have found that the english translations that we read are extremely inadequate, and often do not relay the fullness of what was recorded in the original languages. This is not a bash on the translators, as for the most part they were trying to keep their translation as accurate as possible while making it simple and readable. Expounding the Word to relate a deeper understanding of what was intended in the original will be a large part of this blog, and passages that have been expounded can be found by clicking “Passages” listed under categories.

Another huge part of this blog will be to relate a better understanding of some of the words and verses that we so regularly throw around in the church. Many of these are so familiar, yet we lack a true understanding of what they mean. You can find these definitions and explanations by clicking “A Better Understanding” listed under categories.

The name of God is not God, neither is it Lord. The name of the Son is not Jesus either, that’s a translation of a translation of a nickname. The names are extremely important! What the names are, as well as explanations can be found by clicking “The Names Revealed” listed under categories.

There are more categories on the right, and more to come, so explore now and check back often. Also, if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to ask or comment in any of the provided places to do that.

Note: All of my writing and videos are based on what God is revealing to me today. Often times I have found that when I record something, as with most anything it grows and evolves over time. For this reason I will try to leave up older posts so that you can see how I came to be where I am at. However, if I find that an older post becomes too outdated, I will take it down. If you feel that something is way off base, let me know so that we can discuss why I have chosen to leave it on the page. Thanks!
